VEMOS is a Python application for examining how well similarity and dissimilarity measures work on complex data. This technical guide explains its graphical interface, showing how researchers can browse individual records while relating them to comparisons across an entire data set.
The manual covers loading data and score matrices, inspecting images and other record types, and using heat maps, multidimensional scaling, clustering and classification-performance displays. Worked screens illustrate how the same data can look under different metrics. Appendices describe system requirements, accepted file formats and directory organization, making the complete guide useful both for evaluating the software and for preparing data to use with it.
