Leon H. Stevens continues the family record begun in Letters from Roy, presenting a further sequence of messages attributed to his deceased brother Leroy. The book combines familiar conversation, humour, and recollection with reflections on the conditions of another life and the relationship between those who have died and those still living.
The introductory explanation and foreword describe why Stevens regards this second volume as a development of the first. Messages discuss the use of the Ouija board, the purpose of the communications, spiritual growth, and the family’s efforts to find comfort and understanding. Ruth also contributes messages within the record, while the exchanges preserve the informal atmosphere that Stevens considers essential to their character.
Published by the Christopher Publishing House in 1918, this is a distinct second volume rather than a reissue of the earlier book. The complete historical edition includes the final note “Regarding the War,” alongside the full sequence of communications.
