A. P. Sinnett recounts experiences and correspondence that shaped his account of the occult world. The book discusses phenomena he associated with Theosophy and the people through whom he believed such knowledge could be approached.
Personal narratives and letters accompany Sinnett's discussion of powers and forms of understanding beyond ordinary experience. The account introduces themes developed in his later books while retaining the circumstances of the encounters that first interested him. This download preserves the complete third edition published by Trübner in 1883.
