The anonymous compiler of this 1921 volume introduces a collection of automatic writings concerned with the nature of existence beyond earthly life. The introduction describes a small group of women who began writing independently and explains the decision to publish these messages without identifying either their receiver or their attributed communicator.
Forty-three numbered exchanges consider matter and vibration, spiritual perception, personality, growth, moral responsibility and the relationship between the individual and a larger reality. Questions and replies give the text a conversational form, moving between explanations of an unseen world and reflections on how people live in the present one. The final passages turn to light, color and the divine. This complete historical edition retains the original introduction and the full sequence of communications.
