Multiword expressions pose a challenge because their behavior and meaning cannot always be predicted from their individual words. This collection brings together studies of idioms, light-verb constructions, verb-particle combinations and related expressions across languages.
The chapters connect linguistic analysis with corpus annotation and computational methods for identifying and interpreting these expressions.
