In the Second Series of Incidents in My Life, Daniel Dunglas Home continues his account of mediumship and responds to public discussion of his earlier experiences. Letters, testimony and recollections accompany his descriptions of sittings, travels and encounters with prominent observers.
The chapters address criticism, reported changes in bodily appearance, voices, perfumes and the handling of fire. A substantial closing section reproduces documents from the Lyon chancery suit, including affidavits and answers. This complete 1872 Holt and Williams volume is the separate sequel to the first series of 1863, rather than a reprint of that earlier book.
