Groundwater helps sustain the coastal waters and habitats of Kaloko-Honokōhau National Historical Park on Hawai‘i Island. This study investigates how groundwater conditions relate to rainfall, pumping, sea level and other hydrologic measurements.
The authors compare records from the park and surrounding area using correlation analyses and different time scales. Maps, time series and detailed tables show the relationships examined and the limits of the available data. Prepared in cooperation with the National Park Service, the complete original report preserves its methods, findings and appendices.
