This NIST report documents the certification of a high-purity indium reference material for calibrating differential scanning calorimeters. The work establishes a melting temperature and enthalpy of fusion for a new lot of material intended to replace the earlier SRM 2232.
The authors describe preparation, measurements against reference cells, calorimetric experiments and statistical evaluation. Detailed uncertainty analyses accompany the certified values. The complete September 2024 publication retains its original data, diagrams and measurement procedures.
